About clarep

I would appreciate genuine replies only if that is okay, so if you could help me then please just donate to my PayPal account or ask me anything you like.  I registered on here before and received emails requesting my bank information and other personal details for which I shall not be prepared to do under any circumstances.

My goal is to raise $5000 by the end of the summer to pay for the cost of eye surgery as suffer from astigmatism in both eyes and correction glasses are not a great substitute as my vision has increasingly worsened over time.

So far I have managed to raise some small funds towards my goals though my part time income but doesn't last very long.  I also do a lot for charitable organizations, so every $10 I receive out of this site, $1.50 of this will go towards helping those in my local community - my final goal is to take driving lessons so that can do more volunteer work next year with the police department , but will make a separate request for financial help with this when the time nears.  The priority is to get the surgery I desperately need and that will improve the quality of my life significantly, so if you feel that you are in any position to help me raise the funds I need, then I would be extremely very grateful.

About wishinonastar

I'm sitting here at midnight wondering what in the world I can do to help myself and others. My husband and I are both physically disabled and are just barely able to pay our bills. I know everyone else in this country is having the same problem with a few exceptions. Problem is we don't fit into any "category" we make 5 dollars a month too much to receive any state or federalaid and,I don't know if anyone has tried, but charitable organizations just aren't set up for middle class disabled caucasian people. They have charities like meals on wheels for elderly dogs (seriously they do) but to try to find a wheelchair for my husband or some help getting our ramp repaired before someone falls throughit , forget it. I'm glad the doge are eating well. We ourselves have had to cutback on groceries so we only eat what's on sale or buy from the "rotten rack" or day old bread . Thanks for letting me rant

PS I love dogs but feel that there are more serious problems to be dealt with

Help me to help Brandi

Help me to help Brandi. She is the eldest of my six children and she has Epilepsy. She is the sweetest person you would ever want to meet in your life. She loves tennis and dancing and she wants to be a nurse. This past year she has had several bad episodes which has caused her to be in the hospital several times this year. Each time was from 4 days to a week to two weeks. Our medical insurance is now exausted. We have accumulated a great deal of medical bills because of this. Our plan is to pay the bills off and then get switch to PPO insurance instead of HMO so that she will be able to see the Epilepsy specialist we were referred to. He only accepts PPO. Go figure. Also I would like to focus some much deserved attention on the rest of the children. They have been extreemly supportive of her and us and are like little Samsons. I would like to take them to an amusement park or something like that so that they can just focus on fun for a change.

Now I am currently emloyed full time and I have an interview with the school district for a second job on June 11th. I am usually the one giving assistance instead of asking for it. Even though I would rather be the giver, the truth is I really need the help. So with that said I appreciat all the prayers and help I gan get for her. Thank you and God Bless You All,

Don

P.S. My wife Is a worrier and is really distraught because Brandi ended up going to the hospital on her birthday. So any type of assistance with Birthday stuff or something like that would be appreciated also. Brandi likes stuffed rabbits, books, tennis and music and dance.

Little league fields

North Stonington Little League has been unable to provide a league for girls softball or boys baseball for kids over the age of 12. After many years of appeal, land has been graciously donated to the North Stonington Little League.  Plans and engineering have been submitted to our town and approvals have been given to build a 5 field complex complete with a softball and a senior league field.  Contractors have offered to donate their services for a variety of work to build the complex.  Fund raising projects have been ongoing and over $60,000 has been raised but, our town officials have required a performance bond in the amount of $380,000 before a zoning permit can be issued.  We need $380,000 worth of collateral to post a bond.  Therefore, we are at a standstill and over 2 years of work trying to secure this complex to our kids are in jeapordy.  We need to raise about $300,000  before our zoning approval expires.  This would be just the boost we need to get us going on this project.
